We’re kicking off the first week of September with what looks to be a relatively quiet weekend here in Hernando County, but not to fret - there’s still plenty of great events going on! Head over to the Marine Corps League 708 for their weekly fish fry dinner. Or kick back and relax with a glass of wine or two with Strong Tower’s Evening at the Vineyard. The YMCA’s Friday Night Done Right is hosting flag football for kids in grades 6-12. Join the folks at the Chinsegut Conservation Center for a night hike or some adult beginner’s archery this weekend. The Ernie Chatman College Gameday event benefits Operation HeartFELT, which helps feed hungry children in our very own county. Whatever it is you choose to do, we hope you make it a safe and eventful weekend!

On a more somber note, we of The Hardy Team send our thoughts and prayers out to everyone who was affected and continues to be affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. If you would like more information, click here to find out how to best help via donations or volunteering.
